general;; When Carl became a friar he renounced his past and dedicated his life to the church. His intelligence was of great use to the holy order. He spent much of his time researching evil creatures and methods of being rid of them and tailored his work to specifically target those ways. He never speaks of his life before he became a friar and may have forgotten most of it. He was sent to Transylvania, against his wishes, along with Van Helsing to help defeat Dracula.none

A man with the air of a monk sat at a table, sorting through a bag and arranging the contents on the able. Carl was nervous about his first feild mission and wanted to make sure he had avarything he needed. Lying on the teble were several cloves of garlic, a crucifix and a flask of holy water. Carl drew out a silver stake and laid it on the table. He reached once again into the bag, this time removing a crossbow. Examined it for damage during the journey, his fingeres squeezed the trigger sending a bolt flying past his head, narrowly missing. "I must remember never to do that," he siad to himself, placing the crossbow on the cable with utmost care.
