A lone figure stepped through the dark cemetery. Her time to visit her much loved Mother's grave was massively restricted. Today of all days her little sister needed her care. Effy adored her little sister and had become almost a motherly figure to the small girl but she was anything but a mother. Still young and naive she small girl looked younger than her mature age of sixteen due to her five food one height. The girl was mature for sure, the death of her mother had forced her to grow up yet she had one fatal flaw to her. She was easily manipulated, her natural caring and submissive side left her liable however she had to fight against this sometimes to force through strong will and hardheartedness. Never had she broken down in front of her family but times were hard and certainly getting harder. Effy knew the risks of being out at night where there was no sun to protect her but her need to visit the grave overpowered all instinct. The short walk had been uneventful so far yet she was still aware of everything around her.
Bright green eyes scanned the graveyard before she reached the correct grave. A sweet naive innocence was always a light in her eyes no matter how angry or saddened she got. Of course the daughter of the best blacksmith in town she was prepared if trouble would arise. Her clothing consisted of a pair of black riding pants that lay flush against her fine skin, shoes tucked neatly under them she also wore a corset but with thin straps attached. Her coat was left in the house as the night had a bitter chill yet Effy didn't want the extra weight alongside her weapons. The girl carried with her an assortment of blades made for her own taste, a few even made of silver and engraved beautifully by her father.
Crouching down in front of her Mother's grave she trailed her hand across the large stone, her frail frame tiny compared to it. A light sigh as she read along the iron plaque. all who met her loved her...killed by a vampire. Only catching certain parts her blood boiled with anger. Cooling herself quickly she brushed back that bright hair and blinked hard in the growing darkness. "One year today." A mutter, he tones sweet yet solemn. [/size]

Markus was out as he was walking around. He came to the cemetery as he entered it, he saw that the gate was open. So he wondered if someone was in here or did the wind just blow it open as the gate was old. Markus was walking down the dirt path as it was a good night to be out. He hardly even stayed inside as he felt to trapped. He then contuined to walk as he looked up ahead and saw another figure there, he just kept his pace as he thengot closer to the figurre and saw it was a girl.

Effy sat down for a moment in the dirt simply staring at the grave. There was no emotion in her pale features yet they had their usual soft appearance. Never the old to look even the slightest bit cold Effy always seemed to be rather loving and affectionate in general. Of course this wasn't all the time, she could switch on the cold hearted murderous persona within seconds. There were no issues in killing immortals any more, not as far as she saw it. They had after all slaughtered her mother. Resting a frail hand against the grave she soon lifted herself from the ground. Standing a moment she brushed the dirt from her dark clothing and turned to leave.
Bright green gaze however caught a figure not too far from, her as she stopped a moment in her path. She couldn't make out his features best however she was sure it was a male.

Markus had been watching the girl the whole time. Seeing that she had gotten up and watched her get the dirt off of her clothes, then he saw her looking at him. He stared back at her for awhile till he then moved as started walking slowly closer to wards her. "Nice night out, is it?" He then said to her as he broke the slince as he looked her over and then smirked as he hardly ever smiled.

Effy watched with care as he walked closer, generally on meeting someone she was untrusting however it was actually quite a quick process to gain some amount of trust from the girl. Curiously watching she titled her head lightly before trailing a hand through her vibrant hair. Brushing it back from her pale features with her fingertips she allowed herself to have better sight of the male. A gentle smile softened her features as he spoke, he seemed friendly enough. Her fingers however brushed against her slender waist keeping relatively close to a weapon. Her small blade of several inches was held at her thigh, no attempt to conceal it was made, she didn't much care for being craft with weapons.
Her lingering hand was just her insecurities however it simply looked like she had leaned a hand against her hip. "And I couldn't think of a better place to spend it." Her tones a gentle purr as always filled with naivety. Sarcasm was easily sensed in her reply however she meant it to be friendly.

Markus watched the girl some more as he studied her and then heard what she had told him. "It is if you are here visit someone." He told her as he knew she had been as he had seen her do that earlyer. "I don't mind places like this, I enjoy them really." He told her as he looked into her eyes. "Wheres my head. I am Markus." He then added to wards the girl.

A slight smile just to indicate she had heard he mention her visiting someone however infected with a light frown. How long had he been there for? Shrugging it off it was hardly like she had done anything worth concealing. She was visiting a family member. "Too much death." She muttered almost in a dream like tone. Effy was much more fond of searching damp and dark buildings. She was often found in any vaguely creepy looking place just wandering around however she would sometimes stop to sketch an image that took her fancy. "I prefer more enclosed placed with a few less deceased around you." Her sweet and gentle smile seemed to hold a little devious accent to it. She often got in trouble for finding placed she wasn't meant to go. "Effy Vandiest." She returned with a smile.

"Yes, I do know what you mean. "Well, it is good to meet you, Effy." Markus then said back to her. " I most be keeoing you from doing something. If I am just say so." He told her. He was in one of his anything goes mood. As he would just go with the flow and see what happends and where he ends up tonight.

Effy smiled gently and shook her head, she had no plans. None that she wanted to do. If she went home she would only end up being pestered by her little sister as always. She seemed to adore latching onto Effy being the only other female in the house. Effy on the other hand enjoyed her alone time to such an extent it sometimes got frustrating. Wrapping her arms around her waist lightly she protected her small form from the cold. It wasn't exactly shockingly cold, not for around here but cold nonetheless. "No. I'm trying my best to avoid going home in all honesty. That way I can just say I spent a while here." Glancing around she had no idea what she would do to occupy her time.

Markus had heard what Effy had said to him as he didn't push it and more. He watched her for awhile then talked. " Oh, I see. I myself don't have anything to do. So, i am just asking you, do you want to go do something?" He then asked her as he waited for her to answer him.

A gentle smile crossed her expression at the offer however she did take a moment do consider it. She had no clue who this guy was, Effy spent the majority of her time either with her family or cut off from everyone just wandering around near by villages. She loved to find old derelict buildings and however much her Father hated it he was used to it. Sometimes she was gone for days. "Alright. Where shall we go?"

He was surprised that she wanted to go with him as they haven't really known each other long. But, he didn't let that show. "Well, we can go to the forest, old mill or the cliff side." Markus said back to Effy. "It don't matter to me you can pick the place." He then added to her as he looked at her and waited.

Effy bit her lip in thought, she was unsure of the man however she wanted to go somewhere, a specific place actually and at the mention of it she seemed bright with enthusiasm. Her Father had warned her for years about her distant wanders and there was one rule. She would promise never to go into the forest alone. Now she wouldn't be alone and she craved to much to go there her reserves just left her. "How about the forest, never been there at night."

Markus was still looking at her as he then heard what she had told him. "Alright the forest would be fine. So, are you ready to go." He added to Effy as he looked her over once more and then waited for her to answer him back. Markus has been in the forest many times annd knows his way around there.

At his question Effy took a glance back at the grave, she usually stayed much longer, a few hours even sitting in the darkness alone and talking to her Mother. Telling her everything that was going on with the family, the latest victims of the vampires and whatnot. Still, there was always another day. She wasn't exactly going anywhere was she? Turning back to face the male she smiled politely. Effy of course knew her Father would be stunned by her actions yet she craved adventure and adored places such as the forest.
